David C. Braswell is a licensed attorney in both North Carolina and South Carolina. Mr. Braswell is an Honors graduate of the Thomas Cooley School of Law in Lansing, Michigan where he received his juris doctor degree. Mr. Braswell received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina and has served as an adjunct instructor of law for North Carolina Wesleyan College. He is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association, American Bar Association, the North Carolina Academy of Trial Lawyers and the Nash Edgecombe Bar Association. Mr. Braswell is admitted to practice before all state courts and the United States Federal District Court, Eastern District, North Carolina.
A Tenured Trial Lawyer
David C. Braswell is a tenured trial lawyer devoting a majority of his time handling all serious accidents and injury claims. In addition, Mr. Braswell routinely handles Social Security Disability claims, all serious felonies and misdemeanors including Capital and Non-Capital Murder cases as well as divorce, equitable distribution of marital property claims and child custody. Mr. Braswell began his legal career as an associate with Thompson, Mann & Hutson, in Greenville, South Carolina representing clients in the firm’s Labor Department. In 1991, Mr. Braswell was associated with Early & Chandler, P.A. in Rocky Mount, North Carolina practicing in the areas of personal injury, criminal defense and domestic relations. In 1997 Mr. Braswell founded his firm, Law Office David C. Braswell, PLLC, as a general practice firm concentrating in the areas of civil and criminal litigation. Mr. Braswell's experience consists of successfully representing clients involving matters of medical malpractice, auto accidents, personal injury, social security disability,divorce, labor and employment matters and criminal defense.
Honors / Presentations
While attending Thomas M. Cooley School of Law in Lansing Michigan, Mr. Braswell served as Note & Comments Editor of the Thomas M. Cooley Law Review and was the recipient of an American Jurisprudence award in Criminal Procedure. Mr. Braswell served from 1993 to 1997 as an adjunct instructor of law at North Carolina Wesleyan College where he lectured on matters involving Business and Constitutional Law. In 2005 Mr. Braswell served as co-host on WHIG TV's "Community Legal Line" - a local forum providing general information to the public on legal matters involving the community.
